Cider delivery

I picked up some cider today...
Swedish stuff...
And went for a long walk...some hours with my trolley that I bought in Beijing 2009...
I went to my new chalemrs friends in Hsinchu...to cool them down...
And then we have some cider session...
Pretty nice...
And some CITO meeting...pretty serious...impressive...
I ended the day with some ximen vissit...
It seems like more and more people enjoys this block...maybe I should invest in some place here...
Ha...som girl nad the name "dyker" on her shirt...(it means "diving" in swedish)...

A night in Banqiao

I visited a local restaurant last night...
"Dcuk bar"...
There I tried the Taipei Brewery Weissbier...
We got some local food...but were also treated amny dishes from the owner who like to see foreigners at his place...
We also tried some South african cream...pretty nice!

Tuesdays events

I passed by an agency for Asian countries yesterday...
Some intereesting destinations...maybe I should explore more...
It was a pretty nice evening...a little hot though...
I had an appointmet with Mr Falk...
Here he is....
We went to a classic "AYCE/AYCD"-place (A=All,Y=You, C=Can)...
...wchih is famous for their shrimps...

Af any kind...
Its confusing that they are not peeled...
Falk is a busy guy...
I ended with some ice cream...
And then I got some more things...not sure what it was...
I have been here some 4-5 times...but they serve different things each time i pass by...strange...
The place is near Gongguan in Taipei...
I later on went for some swedish beers...
And brittish...
And some local produced cookies...
And more beer...
My friend had apple TV...pretty interesting...

A visit to Oldies Burger Taipei

I paid a visit to oldies burger in taipei this night...
Ite near taipei main station...
Intersting quote...
And funny bin...
IT was hard to find in their menu...but in the end they had some burgers...but no "normal" burger...I had an elvis presley...
Intersting water...with strawberries inside...
They also had some decoration...
And pics...
Omg...wtf...320Nt...and just a burger...strange...so far the most expensive burger per "what I get for the price" place in taiwan...maybe garden hotel in ximen is similar...
Intersting art...
I also had a smoothe/juice...but it seemed like soda water with tosme fruit peices inside...
A white strawberry...intersting...

A trip to Danshui

I made s quick trip to Danshui today...
The MRT leaves, pretty convenient...
A sunny day...
Passing some mountains...
Danshuis "famous" road...
And riverside...
Its e big contrast from Taipei city...
Omg..."north kenting", kenting is the famous spot in southern Taiwan...
Some high mountian near danshui...
The place I was loking for was closed...
We picked some other place...
They had some intereting beers...
We had some brazilian beer with chocolate flavour...with chinese name "XinGu"...
It was pretty nice....
And the place looked like those hang out places in Bali...
Far away there we could see Taipei city...
We also visited some kebab place...
The guy was from pakistan and has been here for 14 years...
Nice rolls...
Some random tourists who wants to take pics...
And some random guy...
We got some almond cream...
Many people were also enjoying STarbucks....they have a good location here...
I had some peanut butter roll...
And lamb roll...
And lamb chicken dish...
Some street dancers...its common with performance here in danshui...
Many ppl enjoy watcing...
I think I paid 40-50 NT to get here...the most expensive is 65 nt...
Up on the mountain they have a university and some bars...I wanna go there some day...

A hike at Beidawu mountain

I went to hsinchu some days ago to get to the south of taiwan...
Its the 3rd time this week i go there....for the purpose of fixing a car...
I waited at Hsinchu train station...
And there Cory met me up...
Not sure why but cory always loves to drive in the night...to some moutain and, without sleep carry heavy luggage...in order to reach the peak the following morning...more or less exactly the opposite to what I use to do when I hike alone...
This is the car we rented...
Cory had some stickers on his walll-
From different parts of the workd...
Not sure why...
Omg...some "sky of happiness"...funny words in taiwan...
We didnt have any GPS...so it was a littel confusing...
But cory had some map...to show us...
The volume control in teh car was also broken....
This was the map...on his cellphone...freeway 3 to pingdong, then raod 186 or 185...
Some local aboriginals (Paiwan) in pingdong...they are so
The road uphill was pretty bad...
We could see Beidawu nearby...
Hmm...typical taiwanese mountain road...
With nice view...
And some coffee farm...
Cory was checking the road...
Finally it said that we couldnt drive further...
So we parked near another car...high up in the mountians...
Some waterfalls...far away...
And the road was blocked...
Due to some land slide...
Not sure what this wire was for..
Many loclas did this hike in 1 day...I got stressed since I also prefer doing it in 1 day...expecially I prefer to sleep before I start walking...(since me and cory drove during the night)...
Backpack on...
And on we go...
Coty found some crystals...
Pretty nice...
The path was like an old ranger road initially...
Following some grid...
We had signt to come to the trail entrance...
Every now and then, we got this signs...
Ths view was partly nice...
Some old parking lot...
And some final path to the trail entrance...
Down there is Pingdong...
Cory resting...
Finally at the trail entrance...
It use to be scooters andmabye cars up here...
Many trails...one leadadin to some ancient aboriginal road...and another to the Beidawu mountain...
Some one dropped their car keys here...
No ranger insight...usually you are suppose to sign a paper...
I wanna go to thos paiwan house one day...
Some forrest toilet...
And some city sandwish...
This is the poace in taiwan where we were...
On Pingdong county...
With many animals nearby...
Even this wild cat...I hope to see one of these...
18-19 degrees...
Wops...watch your step...
Every now and then..they had a pole in the ground with GPS marks....
The road was steep...not that much focus on safety...
But still a nice trail...
So far like 1500 meters above sea level...it was walking in the djungle since southern taiwan has tropical climate...
And it was not that much up hill yet...
But some rivers to cross...
Luckily they prepared some bridges...
And many waterfalls in sight down in the valley...
Omg...stairs...it reminded me of yushan...
Maybe out there they have some bears and wild cats...
Omg...strange sign...
"14 endemic species" in this area...
We started at 5-6 something...I hoped to be at the peak by lunch..but cory wanted to set up the tents first...we were still keeping a good phase...
The peak covered in clouds...
Some rest area at some ridge...
And some yellow spots...
"1870M" above sea level...
Still a small path...
Resting...
The path took many shapes...
And clouds stated to come near...
And it got steep after a while...
But not that good view...
In the winter they have some ocean of clouds to be seen from here...
Some small ridge again...
And many big trees...
They also had a cabin after some 5km...with tap water...
And places for tents..
And a house...
This area was buiot 1944...it seems like the japanese people really liked to explore the island...I can recall that also xueshan was explored by the japanese...
Also the aboriginals walked here since many many years ago...
Omg...a high altitude toilet...
And some sofisticated flush system...
It seemed to be fully booked...thus we brought our tents....even if most people we meet aimed for a 1 day hike...
Litter..in the forrest...hmm...
Some big tree again...I heard about some 1000 year old tree here...some where...so i kept my eyes open for it...
Another big tree...
And another...but I was told that the "1000 year old tree" had a fence protecting it...
The path had many logs that blocked...
It was confusing for people with backpack...
They also had some web of ropes to hinder people from taking the wrong way...
Even f the peak is just 3089, many people go here...since its the southest 3000+ peak in taiwan...thus the raod conditions were ok, and I never seen this many people before on the trail...
It was slippery sometimes...
More crystals...
Omg...finally a tree with fence...
Yep...the "1000 year old tree"...
I also brought my chocolate from sweden (ikea bought)...
Some random tai...who came from the cabin...
"6K"...more than half...
Now we passed some river/creek area...
Very wet and many fallen trees...
But it was ok...
Omg...a small flower...
Another ranger...
He was picking litter on the trail...they have many volunteers in taiwan at the hiking trails...thats good since 25 million people, on a small island can cause a lot of damage...
Not far ow...
Just some steep area again...
On the edge...
Some locals passing by...
Here...is our tent spot...at some monstery, put here by the japanese to honor some victims in war...however the local aborinials did not like it (een if the monument was to honor them)...
I wanna be a member of this clan...
I wonder how they got the material up here...
Some bird jumping around...maybe some endemic species...
People put coins on the monument...
We put up our tents here...
Cory had a waer proof tent...
Futher up hill they also had some temple...
Also made by the japanese...
at 3029, we slept at...
Still very warm...
time for supper...
Cory likes to prepare food...not sure why...when I hike alone, I always bring some take-away food...to save time...
But this is not bad...
Ok...15-16 something...time for bed...
We blocked the path...but we assumed no one would pass by by now...
In the early morning, some local guy passed by...I saw his flash light...and we joined him to the peak...
It was 5-10 degrees...a perfect mountian climbing temperature...since i always get super wamr when climbing mountains...
The advantage by reaching the top by morning is that the sunrise makes the cloud go away...
And the view is better...
We could see both the west and east coast from here...
The guy in blue was used to climb mountains in taiwan....he seem to done most of them...
He and cory has quite some talk...sharing experiences...
At east, the sun was reflecting the water...
Far away we can see Yushan and some other dozen 3000+ peaks...
The random tai guy showed us arround...on the peak...
"di yi"=the first...is a local classification o the view...this is a "good view" moutain since it has visibility in 3 directions and no other mountain blocking the view...
Ti was pretty wet outside...
And we were heading down...
Still nice wearther...
On the bamboo...
Fixing the equipment...
Some people were very slow...I can really feel that I done my military service...regarding routine to pack...i was done in 5 mins...while the other tent chose to pack inside the tent, causeing a 50 min delay...
Omg...some buddha flags...
Some last rest at the temple...
Cory at the temple....
Say cheese...
Same way down...
With a better view..since now we actually could see the valley...
Down there somewhere...
Omg muhrooms...
And rivers...
Someone prepared this one...nice...
I found a poncho...and decided to return it to the cabin...
The path was nice after a while...
I often went ahead before the others..and got some quality time by myself...then its nice to have chocolate left over...
I also found some place where the rangers store some signs...up in some bushes...
And far down the slope...
When we came down below 2000 meters...it was pretty foggy...
Same ridge as before...
Omg...could this be a Stag beetle? I looked all over sweden for one...but it required taiwan fo see one...not sure if its a real one though...(maybe a look-alike)...
Steep edge...
And slope...
And stairs again...
Wow...30 meters down...I better not lose focus while walking...
Not its not far to the car...
More parts with high risk for landslides...
Some wierd pole in the middle of nowhere...
A foggy part...it was pretty slippery by now...
Hurray, the trail entrance...now its just 3km left to the car...
Some old men, I think 1 was a ranger...
They had a military belt that we use to have in sweden...
I wonder why the have styrofoam on the conctrete blocks on the road...
Finally...tropical temperature...and the parking lot...
We saw 2 cars here when we came..and now a dozen....seems like sundays are more popular hiking days...
Cory colected stones for the ride down...
On the bumpy road...
He collected them in the car...
And picked new ones as we found them....
"flat stones hunt with cory"...
There is one...
Later we had good use for them...
It seemed like scooter is the way to come here...I might use scooter next time I climb a mountain...
Cory was a good guide to show me where to drive..and to place stones at the worse parts...
Some jeep...I guess thats the perfect road car here...
After some 30 minutes we reached some aboriginal village...
Cool...aboriginal art...
Since we didnt ahve any GPS..this guy showed us the way down...in a maze of small roads...
Pretty nice...
I still hd an M&M left from the hike...which i finished quickly in the car...
Omg the south of taiwan, where ppl never use helpets on scooters...
Omg...
Omg...not sure if they see it as a recommendation or decoration...
We later went on the freeway...cory suddenlt told me to turnarond.... :S...
Its not easy with all the chinese characters...
But since we are on the west coast now, the moutains should be on our right hand side...thus we had to turn around again... (we were right fomr the beginning), its strange how hard it is to enter the freeway since its high above ground one needs to find an entrance point...
Strange cliffs north of nantou...or somewhere...
Omg..chickens...probably illegal to have them that many in these small cages in europe...
IT was a nice sunset...
We stopped at a local place in nantou for some dinner...
I had some local steak...
Omg...when in taipei i found many people having their bikes in the mrt...so convenient...

A visit to the steak house

I visited a steak house some days ago...
It was at taipei main station...
It was a mix between a fastfood place and a restuarant
They had some chemical that you put on your clothes to remove smell from the steaks...
I had some ranomd beef steak...
I likes the mashed potato the most
Gouping was also there...

A visit to the hospital

A friend of mine went to the hospital this night...

I got introduced to a new way to write characters...
Based on some radicals...
Later I headed to hsinchu...
A quick stop at the chalmers office...
Just saying hey to some students...
I also passed the DJ club shortly...
Omg...some waitress at the coffee store dropped sugar in my bag...my camera went sticky...(a short wiping session and it was normal again)...
I ended the day with a visit to honglou in ximen...
I ahd a burger as usual...
And some mango smoothie...I like the way they design the smoothies here...

A customer meeting at a spanish restaurant

I met some ppl fro africa last night...
Taking a taxi that accepts easy card...thats nice...
We had some fruity wine...
And nice chilli...
I used Joels phone to play the statoil game...
They also had some spanish guy who recently came there and made the place more spanish...
They had many interesting things..
Here he is...hes binin Taiwan for 2 years...
Omg..they had ikea mugs...
He gave me his card..he recently opened another place near senyatsen memorial hall..
These were nice...might have been fried fat..but still salty....
They had a menu looking like a news paper...that was interesting,..

A short night out inBanqiao

I made a short visit to some bar in Banqiao last night...
It was with Tim...in th emiddle of a typhoon...
The bar was japanese:ish...
Tim is so interesting...manye skills, and its intereting to talk finance with him...

Typhoon times

Some typhoon is approaching taiwan...
Some rain was spotted today...
Omg...everyone is using their smartphone in the line...
Next stop was some office near Sen yat sen memorial hall...
Where people could arrange their governmental papers...
I had to take pics though...to bad I didnt bring my multiprinted ones...
Everything in chinese...thats clever in a place for foreingers...
Hmm...it was a mess to adjust...
The lady at the counter was nice...
Later on I went to some random sushi bar...
Omg...my old classmate...passed by...
"talk each other"...they have funny info boards in asian...my friend told me when he was in Hongkong he saw a sign saying "FREE BEER"...at least from distance...closer up it said "Free wifi, cold BEER"
We also passed by my favorite pizzeria...
And ikea...
Omg...they often mess up things here..."raspberry pie"? very dark raspberries...even the chiense says blueberries...to bad they dont speak english that well...
I had a bun and coffee...for the first time here...
Omg, nice manga style painting...
And some swedish book...
A plate with this koordinates..
Some painting had the same koordinates...
It was for some street in Mollösund at the swedish west coast...strange...
I also had a chocolate ice cream...
We passed by Jollys for some beer but it was closed...
So we heade to Paulaner....
They even had Radler...
The typhoon was discussed on TV...
I like the beer here...they even had their own oktobrefest celebrations...even if the staff refused to inform us about it :S  they dont know what marketing is...
When its raining im reminded about how slippery it is in taiwan...if there are 2 surfaces to chose among the tais chose the slippery one to use for pavement...I wonder why...

Late night adventures in TPE

Some late night in taipei...
...omg...a double MRT station is being built in the south of taipei...infrastructure is improving... (Y)
Some "Pringles"-lookalike...so funny, welcome to asia...
"very well made in taiwan"...feels good...
The adventures were ended by some korean food...
Reminded me of my breakfast in frankfurt...
I ended the trip by checking some stores fo rcamera equipment....

A friend visit in eastern Taipei

Today I had a meeting with some friend in eastern taipei...
At a park that reminded me of sacre coeur in paris
They had all glasses in the freezer...pretty nice...
First I got some lemon water...they use to dringk this C-vitamin drink...
Later on I got some coffee...
A french espresso boiler...
I always wanted one of these...
However the handle was burned...
The coffee was done when it started to make som ewierd noise...
It was a really sunny day today...a typhoon is approaching...which absorbs all the clouds...
The coffee is done...
Ready to cool it down...
An ocean of frozen glasses...
I was taught how an artist works...
And we enjoyed some balcony...and the "pre-typhoon" weather...
Omg, candles with honey smell...that reminded me of my childhood...
A pile of swedish books...
And a master peice, my friends book...
Many scooters fell down...not good to have a parking lot which is sideways in a slope...

Towards global warmning

Which country focuses most on airflights?
Omg...on www.flightradar24.com on can see al flights on the air right now...its just like my idea of an app where I can identify the origin and desination when I see an airplane in the air...(but for free), I must make a free app of this...
The orange planse shows some minutes delay...
Omg...limited airplanes over ukraine...however, with media watching it should be pretty safe there by now...

A sunday in July

I started the day with some local coffee...
Not sure if i got espresso coffee...but it was ok...
Omg...I found a "Panic" button on the wall...I wonder who will use that...
It was a sunny day...
I opened my first Le ble d´or too..
It was good with a hawaii pizza...
I also brought some when meeting an old classmate...
HEhad propps blå...
Omg...so many kinds....
I tried this one...some south african one...nice for all the south africans intaiwan...
Later on I headed towards taipei 101...
It was afternoon...
I was heading for the 86th floor...
Some expensive restaurant...
"No. 2 chef in taipei cause the No. 1 is not born yet"
Zhonghe, Yonghe and Banqiao...
They had a menu based on price...
This was the most expensive..."Seared Australian "Wayyu"...
The places were interesting too...
I remember that I walked up this building last year...
...what did johan eat today?
Some sushi...
Meatball?!?!
and lamb...
As time went by the city changed...
Omg, real flowers at the table...
I ended with a coffee...i got super hyper...
The dessert was pretty nice...
Some girl sneaking around at the mens room...looking into the toilets....welcome to taiwan...
Ximan was the next stop..."Show"..is that a cool name on the cap?...
Some random performance...
And the drink of the night...kiwi and lime smoothie...
...2014 continues...

A trip to Jiayi

A trip to Jiayi was made...
...some random stop near a freeway on the taiwaense west coast...
And some nuns...omg...so intereeting...
...some stop was made at a potterplant where they made flowers on the wall...
...and where they had this old japanese railroad...
This was the station...I think this is an acient artefact on the taiwense landscape...
Omg...and aboroginal knife...
Later on I had some local food...
Nice windpower...I will make a similar one soon...
Later on in Jiayi, I saw this gay... /guy with tie), I was told that he was famous...
...all u can eat later on...
And a quick stop to this railway station...
This was near Alishan...
Where they have aboriginals...
The Tsou tribe...
Omg, I will make one of these later on...pretty cool...
3.4 different kind of bananas...I think the one to the bottom right is not that sweet...

A bridge heading to alishan...maybe broken...
But still worth walking on...
Pretty high...
They also had some temple...
And alot of dry fruit...
Omg...in Jiayi city everyone wanted grape fruit...is it good? - doesnt matter...becasue it is "famous"..the only reason to buy things...
Famous drink...
Next stop was heading to alishan...
But heavy rain was making the tip slower...
Many huge puddles on the road...
Later on it stopped rain for a while...
This is the entrance to alishan...
Jiayi is down there somewhere...I remembrer from yushans peak one could see jiai and the ocean...
A strange looking cloud that I found...
Next stop after this was a big pond...which I ran around in february in jiayi marathon...
Since lakes are rare in taiwan (atleast natural ones on the west coast) this becomes a huge tourist attraction...
Later on a new mountain area was visited...
This city was famous 10 years ago...before some huge earthquake...
"Shiau" instead of "xiao"...its noteasy to be a foreinger here when try to pronunce the chinese...since theres no conistency in the pinyin...
Local food...shrimps...like the amis (aboriginals) they fish them from the river...
What did Johan eat today?...
This bus should take us to other famous spots...
Some rural waterfall...
This use to be a lake right after the earthquake...
long time ago...
After earthquake...
They still restore the road...but its not easy, since the mountains in taiwan are said to be the steepest in the world...with earthquakes and typhoons regularly...
Some famous temple...
Tea plands...
A huge oyster...
High heel shoe and pipe...and we know the gender...
Next place was said to be a "power spot"...
With steep roads...
And a stone henge-lookalike area...
WIth many rituals...like touching the trees from bottom to top...
They also had a place that reminded me of the first cabin of the jiaminghu trail...
With local coffee...
It was pretty expensive...
We continued up to a mountain...
Some "luck"-tags...which people could buy...
This place looked like machu picchu...
Another waterfall...
Then the trip headed back to civilasation...
And the guide wanted to sell his oil...pretty touristic...
It was said to be better than enythign else of its kind...
Omg...Scania busses...
The road was still during contruction since 10 years ago...its not easy to manage mountain roads...
And this was to manage the water...
Some more tourist spot...
Cake store...
Free tasting...
Very popular...
I ended the day with a Wisby beer...

A day on the east coast

I did a trip to the east coast some day ago...
Omg...a fjällräven bag in the MRT...
It was just right after lunch...the morning is said to be the best surfing...but im not sure why...
Kris joined up, after a trip to Hongkong...
It didnt take long before we reached the mountain area...
Kris is uing plecco...a cool translatio tool...
He swaps the phone ever some text...and it identifies and translates the characters directly...
Waiao...
The girl at the surfing shop was funny...
I bougt my surfer shorts from here 6 years ago...
The sand was pretty dark...
The guy in red shorts os our guy...
They put more efforts in life guards nowadays than before...the other guy in red was playing baywatch...
I had my sunhat, with some root from laos...
...which I bought in Hochiming city...
Our man tried to explain how to surf...even if we have surfed before...the board he was using was a litle broken...
Even if it was afternoon many surfers were out there...
After some hours of floating around in the sea we were heading back...just like in Knäbäckshusen in Skåne, they have routines to get rid of the sand from the feet here too...
The houses here are really nice...
We ended trip with an all you can eat...
This is what Johan ate today...
...and this...

Rushy morning events

I went up early this morning...
Atleast so that I could catch the opening of the lokal Yushan bank...
Omg..a pic of jiaminghu...so big! Maybe its after a typhoon...
It was surprisingly fast service...but still not according to my standard...so I had to punish them by cashing out money in notes all staring on "2"...I took all the 200-notes they had...
I also passed by my swedish friend...she lives in a nice area near 101...
I think its here...
And here is some parts of 101..
I finished my morning adventure with a TT beer...with a "blue-white" symbol...it reminds me of the colours of gothenburg!

Random events in Asia

I tried some mango yesterday...they only had rotten ones at carrefour...it was discounted with the same price...
...so that people should buy more...
The day after I went to an "all you can eat"...that I considered a little bad...atleast that was my impression last time I was here...
But it was nice...atleast the dessert...
The meet tasted a little mold...
Not sure how old it was...
I had some pannacotta that was pretty nice...
And some red meat....atleast he gave me a pretty rare peice...
Not sure why...
The ice cream was pretty soft...thats nice...
I ended the visit by passing by Susanne, I plan to see her tomorrow...she gave me a brief map of where to meet...
Omg, in the night I went to a nearby 7-11 to see if they had my debt card which suddenly wasnt in my bag...first they said that they had a debit card...then not... (the image displays some wine glasses at the 7-11)...
later on i was reminded how stressful it is to deal with people who lie just to not lose their face...its very time consuming, in a country of robots...

Worldcup final

The day started early...
Somewhat about 3am....I opened a swedish beer...
Later on I opned another beer...the final game didnt deliver that many goals...
But atleast they didnt go to penalties...I dont like penalties...it most of the time create scapegoats...
Later on I went to the post office for some business...
And later than that I went for a run...
Scooter town...thousands and thousands....
People in the parks are line dancing...
Next stop was a burgerbar...
It had homemade hamburgers...omg...
I was thinking about to take a "cheese sauce burger",,,
Or a double patty burger...they had the same price...
I also got some random soup...
It ended up with the cheese sauce burger...but it wasnt that special...barely any cheese...omg...
Atleast they were not cheating me with the french fries as the 1885 burger store does...the restaurant looked like pretty much the same as many other burgerbars in Taiwan...similar to an american restaurant from the 50:ies...

Yangmingshan cross country race

I didnt sleep much last night...
But that was expected...it always feel like in my military service when I get up early...prepared for physical activities...
A late saturday night...stil alot of traffic...
I head that some buses went from Taipei Main station in the night to yang ming shan...where people were suppose to run...
And some people went up extra early for the race....
Wendels, a german restaurant is near yangming shan...
They had some worldcup offer...but minimum charge 600nt...(150sek)...
I wasnt that much into eating before running...
Mostly just watching the game for a while...
Many people were there...
I had an espresso...
And some brazilian cheese sticks...
I also won a football...
Omg...the running competition had restriticions (officially), no chinese people could join...and no cameras...(these warning signs are mostly taken as recommendations/decorations among the taiwanese)
I tried to prepare myself with some plaster, since i had new shoes...

Then the ride went to high altitudes...
I came some minuts late...and was refused to start from the start (old taiwanese men can really be 5 year old in their behaviour, impossible to reason with...so I had to start 100 meters later than the rest)...
It was a pretty easy run...furst up hill for 10.5km and then back the same road (as usual in taiwan when runninga marathon)...
Later on another german resturant was visited...
They had mostly waffles...but some sausages...
And they also had the worldcup on TV:..
However they had the slowest service ever...not sure why...
I had some chocolate wafle...
Ximen was the next stop...its pretty warm...so many locals wanna eat sliced ice...long queues on the road shows where the famous slized ice places are...
I had a passion fruit smoothie...
Omg...I later on found a fjällräver bag on a guy on scooter..amazing...

Some saturday events

I started the day by visiting Q-square agin...
Some friends were there promoting some things...
Later on I went north...
Some skate park...near songshan airport...
And climbing arena..
After some attempt to reach the top..and succeeded...i was dirty...luckily there was a toilet nearby...
Omg...next stop was ikea...where I found a bunch of swedish beers...
"Götheborg"...reminds me of home...
They also have propps blå...
Some arabice people was at the resturant, totaly lost in translation...I helped them...its not easy when people always missunderstand you...
Next stop was a market with cell phones...and computers...
I checked batteries for an HTC...
Well, it worked fine...
My old one was made in China....
...this was partly from japan...(but they also said it was from taiwan)...
It seems like these are not made nor sold that frequently any longer...
And my old one had a red spot on it...but it was pretty similar to my old one...
Next stop was ximen...
Some celeb was there performing...
Also at the hong lou...it was crowded...
With concerts...
I had a mango smoothie...
But went home early...marathons in taiwan starts around 6am...if theres a1-2 hour ride..it means i have to leave home around 4am... going to bed...or stay awake? I might still be in my european sleeping phase...then I might as well stay up all night...we will see how my sleep progresses...

A day out

I did some small jobbing today...
Trying out my new shoes...
And later on went to Q-square...
Where jasons market ahd a stand at the entrance...
And le blé d´or too...
They showed the argentina- holland game and later the germany-brazil game...
Me and some friends with to this beef noodle place...
It was famous...
My friend had a good relationship with the clerk...
Pretty nice...I was told that this was the best...
Omg...2 people wearing fjällräven bags...hallelujah...
Later on I went for a second dinner...
At this place...I ahve been here before...
They had alot of beer too...
And swedish glögg...
Bought at ikea...
I had this IPA...
Omg...my glass was frozen...
I had a normal burger...
With sweet potato with marsmellows...
Omg...180NT for the beer...I felt robbed...
Some transformers movie had first night show...so many transformers cars were outside...
I have seen one of them in zhonghe some year ago...
This was the next stop...
A beer place in zhonghe...with many japanese drinks...
My beer did not thats that good... a little like my batch of home made beer that was destroyed...due to too many bacterias in teh fermentation process...
Atleast I got some spicy snax...I might try the other Kaohsiung beer place next time...

Gothenburg(?!) hangout

My favorite place in Beijjing  airport is this place...with a socket...and wifi...i slept 1 hour on my 20 hour transfer...thats ok...it means no jetlag when I arrive...
I always make friends with people at this airport...
I met a chiense guy who works as a tourist guide in asia, and was heading to hongkong and taiwan...we tried to add each other on line...but it wasnt successful...
I observed many russians passing by...complaining...it reminded me of all the times I ask tourist guides about their worst customers...so far 100% says russians, since they act like "nouveau riche", causing alot of stress and trouble...in norway they even say that they are fully booked when a russian calls...and some russian travel agencies offer "behaviour course" so that the russians learn that its not "Fancy" to order the most expensive dish, just to complain and ask for compensation, since they didnt like it...
I also read some Don Rosa classic...I always claimed that Don Rosa is the way that the donald duck comic can regain populairity...now it seems like Don got his own magazine...amazing!
Customs in asia is a gamble...worse si taiwan and indonesia...super inconsistent...I can pass in europe with many things...but here they often reject...also the law with 150ml is often denied...super annoying...
Omg...the Holland-Argentina game was showed at the gates...
They even had a text about that one should mind the boarding time...
Welcome to asia..."seatbelts fasten, put up the table and move the seat in its normal position"...well that seems to be only a recommendation here...
I always wondered what this numder is on the neck cover...I will check later...
I always order western style breakfast nowadays...the eastern is tasteless porrage with some soy egg...
We later on reached our final destination..."seat bell on sign"...
But thats only a recommendation....or decoration... :S so stresssful...
Omg...a fjällräven...
And some aboriginal art...
And santa claus reconstrucing the road...
1, its impossible to walk on the pavement...
2, scooters everywhere
3, fumes, and food smell, and dirt...
where can I be?
Well, somethings new since last time...
Omg, I finished the beer...and a guy working in costco pur it in the plastic recyling... :S
Le ble d´or at costco...it starts good...
I also had some snax and alcohol...
Confusing...locals might think that its a super old wine...
Kopparberg is selling well...
More shots...
They should have a bell on the carriage...so many slow walking people blocking the road... :S i always whistle while walking to remind them that they are not the fastest people in the building and not the only people at the place...
Later I passed by "hong lou" in ximen...
I did some statoil competitions...
And had a double burger...
And later on a mango snow ice...
they had many interesting things...
it was nice...
I also picked a local geocache...in this park...
Omg, the plants near the fan are bigger, probably due to the carbondioxide from the AC...

Heading to "robot" land

Robot land, dont think...just do...
Heading to GOT...watching my father getting annoyed when2 truck drivers are cutting the road...for like 20 minutes...
Its nice to start at a small airport...check-in is easy (which if often is at westerns airports, atleast they are consistent)...
Sun sets at 22.10...I will miss the Germany - Brazl game...
Instead I watched some airport art...
...some museum promoted this art exhibition...mainly photos of swedish celebs...
And as usual...the chinese people (mainly) block the queue...if they say "seat 65-55", I wonder what logic you have when you with another number sitll insist of trying to enter...
Same ininside the plane...I felt like beeing in Asia, the same second I came to the gate...nowonder they open the gate some 10 minutes before...on some flights...but its fun to watch...
I had a touch screen...but the remote was stuck in the seat...oretty annoying...
And not that many good movies to watch...but atleast I had a screen this time that worked :)
Sun set over russia...
The wifi machine was broken again...i didnt dare to ask for help, since 100% of the times before when it was broken the staff didnt help out...but after some 10 minutes some customer/service oriented lady game me some password...
The only news that I found was this...

Gothenburg hang out

I met an old friend from hongkong today...
I also saw a guy with this buddhist skirt...
Omg...they promote Lund University...almost like I did earlier this year...
In gothenburg city, people are swimming in the glasss pool..
I also went to find some cache...after that my friend live streamed how he found it...
I also continued with a walk in the area nearby...
And helped a friend with some garden work...
Later on I was treated some taiwanese made food...
it was nice...like a smorgasbord of dishes...
And the piles are now one single line...
Later on I was also given a system camera...it was interesting...

Im heading back...the weather is nice...no strong sun nor rain...

A quick adventure on monday morning

I made a quick adventure on monday morning...
Just like the highest railroad station in taiwan...i was looking for a cache near a railroad tunnel...
Its pretty old...some hundred years...i think...
They also have steam locomotives...

When I later accessed a computer, my friend Frick broadcasted live when he found a very hard cache in gothenburg...impressive!

A visit from Gothenburg

My friend Mr Frick visited me today...
He had an app, creatiing a weblink that he sent me...so that I easily could track his position...
I met him up downtown near my parents house...
We made a short market comparison of the asian restaurants...
They had a buffét...
And also ice cream...all u can eat...like in taiwan...
They even had syrup with the ice cream...thats nice...
I also showed some scenic and historical sites in the city...like this old stone...probably several hundred years old...
Later some friends went to swim...
Me and Frick equiped ourselves...to work...
We also made a check of the function of the equipment...
And went out for a ride with the boat...
It was a sunny day...I think I burned myself heavily...
Frick took a short swim afterwards...I stayed up as usual...
After some mingeling the family headed home...what was most cool was that one of the people visiting was from Taidong, my favorite city in taiwan...

Saturdays traveling...

I started the morgning by realising that I could win some gasoline...
Some fun games, a good marketing strategy to attract new customers...
Howerer, I spent som time on a train...
And checked some geocache site...
Later on I met up with my cousin, who recently moved back from Stockholm to the west coast...
Seems like my father prepared for some meeting...many coffee cups...
I picked a trackable in the evening...
At some nice neighbourhood downtown...
I ended the day with some fishing with my cousin...so far this year, my luck in fishing is not that good...maybe its the equipment...

A trip to Gothenburg

Today I made a trip to Gothenburg...
These are the flags, from countries that particiaptes in the paris race this week...
My brother needed assistance with some delivery...
And Mr Erik...who cut parts of his hair...
Erik once took "a swedish classic"...I also did that 10 years ago...
We all seek tougher challanges...
Erik claims that pros dont cover theor tube valve...
My brother always keeps his bike so clean...not sure why...
Later thewhole bike team met up...
Many business people and local celebs were included...
Erik did some last minute cleaning...
I headed downtown...where the worlds lasrgest youth football game and handball game just started...
But my goal was to a thai restaurant...
...to meet up some friends...
This crew...
Mr Anders family had company from a gril who was studying in norway...
We went for a walk while Anders kids were taking a nap...
They continued to the local zoo...
I headed downtown shortly but returnedto the zoo myself...
They had both goats and wild boars...
It was pretty fun...
Later on I met up some people at the bike event...
Mr Erik was presenting the event...
I also passed by my uncle and picked some wild strawberries...
And attached a banna to a tree...I remember that I use to do that at Chalmers some 10 years ago...they remained there for several years...
We also passed by an ice cream store...
Many flavours...
Its produced here in Gothenburg...
My cousin also called from England...so flattering...
A "lion" and "vacum cleaner"-ice cream...
Heading home later...I noted that the streets were pretty empty everywhere...its germany vs France in the world cup...no wonder...
Later on I did some fishing...
And some meringue suisse...one of my favourite dishes...
Yummy!.
As usual I didnt catch any fish...but this year I havnt got anything...so it wasnt a surprise...

Hanging out with my brother...

I helped my uncle today with some local stuff...
My brother has some business in town and I joined him for some things...
We also went for some Thai food...
My brother will cycle south tomorrow...andmy uncle has 2 jobs..(it seems stressy to be a doctor)...
We also went to some production company to pick up stuff...
Omg...some GPS made in Taiwan...
I also picked up a cinnamon bun at a gas station that I won...
And had more moroccan lemons for dinner...
With tacos...
More gaming...
And sharing the prize with some ppl around...

Preparing a paris trip...

I joined my brother today...he is preparing for his paris trip this friday...
He will cycle there...after taking the ferry to germany...we passed by some second cousins on the trip...
They had no synk on their watches...
I correted one of them...
Original time was 11.48...
My brother had a carbon frame bike...made in italy...
We also passed by some old neighbours...
And went to a pizzeria where we use to go as kids...
And then we went back home...
It was said to be rainy...but not that much today...
Atleast it was sunshine on us...

Oscar´s home

MY brother came home last night...
I started the day by fixing internet to my phone and meeting up some people in the city...
And scored well on a pertrol station memory game....i might win a cinnamon bun...
My father is on the hunt for killer snails...
I also opened my moroccan lemon jar...and ate them with tacos...it was good...
Later on I went local beer-all in...started with some near by micro brewery...
And some interntional ale...
I didnt pick these too...but they were ok...
MY friend who was home, played some metal games...saying that I was disgussed with him, if i didnt tried his beer....i started to laugh...such an interesting logic...
I there after went down to the lake to listen to music...
Even if it was july...it was not super warm...
I ended up winning my cinnamonbun...to bad that the petrol station was out of buns today...I have to come back later to pick it up...

Haning around in Alingsås

I did some business in Alingsås yesterday...
PAssing some offices and mingeling around...
And treating some people with blueberry cake with integrated vanilla cream....
I also went for some crash course in detail quality differences in Amarone wine...
Omg...one is from 2008 and one from 2009...the older the better...
My old friend Hannes was showing me the way...
I later on did a "the lost son illustration for my borther who will pay a visit soon, according to plan...
I also fixed my mobile internet...
And enjoyed "the soup nazi" on TV...summer time is lazy time...
