228 in Danlin
I spent most of my 228 weekeng in Danlin
Startng of with chscking osme potatoes...
And a warped pinapple
I cae rather late on saturday, Geai palled to watch some virgin mary statues, but missed...too bad...
We had some red wine at samulavan, while thinking about going to kenting...(the image of holiday here)
We later took a motorcycle to Pineapple...

Later we headed for breakfast
I had a very good chicken burger...
I also saw some nice plant on a wall...
And a portable karaoke mic...i think u install an app to make it work...
Later we headed to weile...a city nearby...
To join some traditional dancing...
Many people joined up...I had some traditional clothes...
We also went to pick up bubba at the train station
And we had wine and beer...at samulavan

With this really tasty spicy sauce...
Bubba had some duck in his mouth...
Later we headed to Weile again (after some hours sleep)...
And checked out some more local dancing...

There was a parade also...
Alot of traditional dresses...for a wedding ceremony...
And they carried a couple of people

They bought some spicy sauce, ready to put in the bag...

We later headed to the place where we danced the night before...

And we sat down for more food...since I like to eat I often enjoy the hospitality here...however, my skirt was pretty tight, so I couldnt eat too much...

I passed by Balle Balle recently, an indian restaurant in Taipei
It is pretty popular

Its name seemed to be in taiwanese
Pretty relaxed place with people jamming all night

Many people on the riverside even if it was considered cold
Omg, the spanish fortress built 1624 or something
The goal of the day was to go to Mamasui in Danshui...same as in Bali, where i learned to brew beer...
Pretty nice...but less cosy than the bali branch

I had a really good beer...tasted homebrew and not too bitter

The burger i bough was also top 10 in taiwan...very nice

Many tais think its cold recently...its 10-15 degrees...
The biggest problem in not the outside temp, but the inside temp, since radiators are not so common here...but many people enjoy hotpot and hotsprings during these times...I went to some nearby hotpot...

I joined up a geocache event recently...near taipei main station..but it was pretty badly hosted...
I was here some years agot, when I participated in my friends magial class....
Later on I had a hotpot...it was korean...

I also passed by Yiland beer bar in yonghe...pretty nice...
Taipei hangout
I passed by a local pizzeria near SYS memorial hall recently...I were there some years agoto...
A pretty popular place, but also pretty tasteless...not sure why the tais like it...
Their chickenlegs were pretty good...

In taiwan they often give away animals...maybe thats a reason why there are so many animals on the streets...since people like the puppies and kittens and then dump them...
I also went for a bike trip in taipei city riverside park...pretty nice...including some drinks...among the bars that they have there...
I also passed by ximen where there were some chinese celebration...probably chinese new year...many people (there lives as many people in larger taipei area as in sweden)....i come to think of the pic that shows that asians are soo many...

I also saw the new H&M which is the largest in "this part of the world", whatever that means...
They had some interesting animaltions...
Also a quick visit to honglou was made...where I got extra many marsmellows in my mango smoothie...
Later on I also tried my mead, that I bought in Taidong...it wasnt that good.very bitter and not that fruity...(even if it was fruit flavour)...

Taiwan has 2 bike brands that I know about...Giant and Merida...
I passed by a local Giant store recently...to fix my bike...since they dont have any "cykelköket" in asia...(a place in the city where people for free can fix their bikes, that sweden often has)
Chinese new year 2017: Pingdong
I went to PIngdong recently...to Chaizhou and Danlin
First thing we did when arriving was to eat...(i totally gained 8 kilos since middle of january)...

We later went to pick up a friend...

The life in danlin is usually very rough...alot of drinking...not much sleeping...
And we had some flavoured vodka from sweden too...
And alot of Budweiser...I never had this much budweiser in my hole life..i think...
And portioning more beer...
We ended the first night by watching some cerenomy

And there was time for some selfies in the sunrise...
Some hours later (after some sleep), we headed back to the bbq area...
Now they had KTV...
And alot of meat...

This is the prime place to be, when chillin in danlin, according to the locals...
The KTV owner dedicated a song to us...cus I added this place to google maps...or something...
I also brought Absolue Vodka...with fruit favour to spice up the beer...
Later some scooter went inside the KTV...interesting...

The day was pretty chilll not much activities in the morning...ths life in danlin is usually pretty rough...drinking, and not much sleep, luckily I did my swedish military service, so I was hardened

Chinese new year 2017: Taidong
I paid a visit to my old friend Johnny recently in Taidong
He picked me up in his car...
The Mcdonalds sign in taidong is not as sealed as the one in Hualien, it has an extrabar for earthquake and typhoon stabilization
We went to check up on his relatives
And met his cousins
We also passed by a local beer bar north of taidong
On road 11
they had many kinds of beer...but not everyone were available tonight
they also had a bonfire...pretty cosy

I also tried some cranberry mead
It was strong as wine...with cranberry flavour
They also had handcraft things...like last time i was here...

From the coffee stores backyard it is possible to reach the bike lane that goes around taidong

...and we also went for a walk..its very peaceful in taidong
