Chinese new year 2017: Pingdong
I went to PIngdong recently...to Chaizhou and Danlin
First thing we did when arriving was to eat...(i totally gained 8 kilos since middle of january)...
Soe locals using their phone...
We later went to pick up a friend...
Who got his hair braided...
Let the drinking begin!
The life in danlin is usually very rough...alot of drinking...not much sleeping...
And we had some flavoured vodka from sweden too...
And alot of Budweiser...I never had this much budweiser in my hole life..i think...
And portioning more beer...
We ended the first night by watching some cerenomy
They had some animals with them
And there was time for some selfies in the sunrise...
Some hours later (after some sleep), we headed back to the bbq area...
Now they had KTV...
And alot of meat...

Later we headed back to Samunlavan, where se usually sleep...and where people were chillin...
..we also planned to go for a hike...but stopped by neighbour after neighbour to have a drink...
This is a common start for walkers when hiking in danlin...

We also passed by an un attended jugne kiosk...
but with surveilance camera...

It was a nice evening...and not that hot as it use to be in the south

And later the big whiskey bottle was opened

We had alot of budweiser
And Geais fatehr brougth the golden mic
And som aunt made some food
We akso had some pig skin...
It was a tradition based from an activity last year when some guys delievers some logs to girls in the village...
We also went to the local store to buy some stuff...

And many people joined up
Bubba and geai was discussing interesting topics
They added lemon and salt to the budweiser
After a while we added all ingredients to a pot
Alot of salt...not sure why they added it...treating the Bud like a tequila...(someone said the mexican style of drinking corona was like this)...
Later on we cleaned up...
And some locals went for a nap
The youngsters were still going strong
I brought my Mead that I bought in Taidong
And later on we went to Pineapple
Geai met his friend
And Rihanna was singing
This is the prime place to be, when chillin in danlin, according to the locals...
The KTV owner dedicated a song to us...cus I added this place to google maps...or something...
I also brought Absolue Vodka...with fruit favour to spice up the beer...
Later some scooter went inside the KTV...interesting...

Some locals...I was warned that there are people who tried to get me drunk and take me home...I didnt see any of these here though...

We had soem fireworks as well...
I was asked to fire them...later people decided to leave
We went to the local 7-11
They have a conference room here...very interesting...
Bubba ordered some food...and had tu queue for 10 minutes. because the people before him had a big order...
Next day, music was played at samulavan
Many hikers are passing by in early morning
The breakfast crew, bubbba and Vuvu
We did a map for some music themes
Geai tried to help Vuvu with a cable, but they dont speak the same language, so some woman who passed by had to translate...
We also had tapioka drink....with taro...
After a while we took the car around the city...and i took a pic of some locals...

We passed by geais grandmothers place in Xinlaiyi
They also had some church activity here
And we met Massimo from italy
The local danced as usual after the acitvity, and massimo told us it was originally from the jews...this tradition
We escaped...
...to a nearby store...

Omg...massimo joined up as well...
And some other spanish guy, who doesnt speaek english..but chinese and spanish...
We later on tried Xiammijiu icecream...pretty good...
Massimo treated us some bread...from the church...
We talked to some locals at the same time...
...and later on headed back to Geais grandmothers place...
The aunt had birthday
Omg...red eggs....
We had some local birthday dinner
with crayfish...but were told not to eat too much, cus we were going to another dinner...
Seems like the catered next dinner
Alot of food...pretty good
And the local water truck passed by...and also delivered some beer...
This guy kept shotting beer with us...

We also passed by some accident, a guy fell from the road and dropped his necklace...no injury, just a necklace drop...
People were still chilling at samulavan..shoting beer...

Many people had are using their cellphone often...they started to record some singing after a while
They also got some crabs...

Pretty small (since they are river crabs)
We concinued shoting, some people went home...
They guys were playing music
And later on heading to pineapple again
People were already there singing...
We had alot of 7-11 food...it was nice...
Geai fell asleep, actually most people fall asleep here since it is the last resport...in the nice couches
Survival of the fittest....
Many times, the most agressive drinkers fail at the end...
Later on we went to samulavan...seems like everyone wanted to sleep in our room...
7 people in a small TV room...
Bubba changed room after some hours
Yuehan had some cool tattoos
They were al inspecting some things inside...not sure what it was...
Someopne was also the owner of this jägermeister cap...
The day was pretty chilll not much activities in the morning...ths life in danlin is usually pretty rough...drinking, and not much sleep, luckily I did my swedish military service, so I was hardened
It was a gray sky...
Geais father wanted to take a ride on his bike...pretty macho...
He took a local girl with him...
Geai was playing leauge of legends...
And me and bubba talked to a funny guy...
I also tried a skirt that I bought...traditional skirt...
We later on went to a local church...
Many people were dressed up...
Omg...cool paiwan gloves...
The boys were chilling at the church stairs
And later they gave us free food

Some comitte, hosting a lottery
And the girls danced some aboriginal dance..pretty cool
Massimo had his paiwan vest on...
A last farwell before heading back to the train station
And saying bye to locals passing by in cars...
And some last shotting with beer at samulavan....
Then some nice neighbour offered himself to drive us...
