A visit to Dalukuan Theme Park

I went to Pingdong recently

I met some people at Kaohsiung HSR station first

Omg...Bumble bee statue...has it been moved from Pier 2?

Many police at the theme part

My friend Robin was there..and my friend from Domenican republic

They were suiting up

They had snus in their luggage

Many kids were also there

And the president of Taiwan

These three guys made it look like an american wedding

My favorite of the whole event was this guy (center of the pic)...his face looks so professional, and he seem to be a taiwanese version of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Many phones in the air

This never happened 10 years ago

They also drank tea from a Lions teapot

Then the president talked

And Arnold was standing at the very right

Then it was time for the president to leave...and the guy in the center of the pic was fast to walk up for protection...but arnold was more cool with his actions

Some people prefered watching baseball instead

Later people were drinking and toasting

Some people wanted to stay up until 4am...

..but most people faded out around 24-01...

Crowded in ximen

I went to ximen recently

It was pretty crowded

I didnt find any seat at G2, so no good drinks...this green drink was suppose to have mango flavour..but I couldnt feel any

Eventually there was a table free at g2, so I got some milk tea...taipei pride is this weekend, maybe thats why it is so crowded

night mingle in Ximan and CkS memorial hall

I Passed by a "famous" dinner place near SkC memorial hall recently

They always give receipts since someone say how successful there were, but cooked their books...

Later a visit to Ximen and g2 paradise was made...I ordered a milk tea...

I had to wait for 40 minutes for my tea...slowest servie ever...

I also saw Johnny there...he didnt need to wait for 40 mins for his drink...

I went to play floorball this sunday

It was quite a while I was there

A cruising day in taipei

I cruised around taipei recently

Passing by a spanish restaurant

I had a beer from barcelona

And some sea food

And some other thing...probably spanish

And something extremely salty...maybe they dropped the whole salt bag in it...

And some cheesy thing

Later a tivoli was passed by...

And the ferris wheel...

I also passed by Barhi...i havnt been here for a while

No cheese sticks

I had a pilsner since they make it in the house

I accidentally ordered a platter...it was good...

3 beers were made in house, 2 are yilan beer...

Dark beer, pilsner and Damai

Also some hunt for a golden batman cover were conducted...

Ximen hong lou were having some concert...

Omg...sweden wouldnt accept this picture...asia doesnt care

The evening was ended by a drink at ximen...

I passed by a danom bar in taoyuan recently

They had local beer...

It was a pretty slow service..think i waited 40 minutes for a sandwish...but it was still ok...

A visit to Le ble d´or

I paid a quick visit to Le ble d´or recently

At Q-square

They ahd happy hour...so it was buy 1 get one free...

I also had some friend fish plattter to get some reminder of when I visited the fish market in sydney...

Coincidentally I got an Australian flag on the plate....

Danlin music festival

I recently made a trip to Danlin music festival

My friend told me "aboriginals are always late"...ha, i had to wait some half hour for him to meet me at the local train station...

We went around in Chaozhou for some business..

Omg...chist was the head of the computer store

They had a Geforce 210...I remember when I was young and got a Geforce as x-mas gift...

They has a wonderbaum in their car...

Playing x-mas music..so interesting...they are catholic...in asia they think that christianity and catholism are two different religions...

We also found a supermarket in Chaozhou...

Omg..we also visited Geais fatehrs village...they had a cat in his grandmas house...

With Shan yu jiu (taro wine)

They also did handcraft here

And were selling some double cups they have in harvest festival

And they did some blinds..

I found some interesting thing to have i the rice...they were reluctant to let me buy it...but I insisted...

I wanted one of each of these...taro wine and sesammy with ginger wine..(wine=alcohol)

They also had stones here with different features...

Some aboriginal stuff...they also treated me some shan yu jiu

I got to try som nice millet wine too...very sweet..

We also went to Laiyi...were I found these painting...maybe ppl from the lower class...

...and upper class...

I wanted to buy some skirt...

They had some different kinds...it reminded me of when I was in myanmar and bought a sarong...

Many local patterns...

pretty cool...

These people were Amis...paiwan sometimes have them on their clothes...becasue its "cool"...

I also found these...I wnat to have some of these later...and one with a batman sign on his chest...

I also got their business card...

Later we went to Danlin and samulavan...I was mingelonig with the local kids...

We after that went to pick up bubba...(he is one of the 7 people of this pic...)

We went to the store to buy stuff...I bought pizza ingredients...

We also sneaked on a guy who the others met last time...but tried to avoid...pretty cute story...

...Then we went to the local 7-11 to buy drinks for the music festival...

I also bought some "american water"...

Bubba was chillin at the table...

I was perparing some pizza....

We thereafter headed to the music festival

But we sat some place nearby....not sure why...maybe for privacy purpose...

Local drink was to mix beer and fruit vodka...

Some local dancer (Junai) had a fake earing...

They later on performed...their group name is #tryme

They also rapped...

Then some local celebrity joined up...

Later I made some pizza sauce

I had a small oven...

But enough to mass produe for the locals...

I also made som baileys drink...

A local guy was funny..he had some interesting tattoos..he was aBeinan aboriginal...and tattooed some girls name on his neck...who he was in love with...but didnt really know...

People later played some drinking games

I also prepared some vodka for some person who asked me to buy it for her..but she never showed up...

...so we drank her bottle...

Some guy also had some dog issues...

We was raped by a dog...

People were laughing

We were also asked to deliver pizza to nearby houses...

The elder people in the village had a BBQ some houses away...

They were happy to get pizza...

I also saw Rihanna and some outher youngsters at this party...

Well back to samulavan people were drinking...

Last pizzas had extra cheese...

We wanted to join the other BBQ...but the people hanging at samulavan didnt mind

Hongyu got drink...and stopped drinking around midnight

Local people joined up, who were at the other BBQ...

Some locals decided to head home later on...or atleast try...they came from some village south of danlin...

The tryme crew was nearby...

And hongyu wanted to make a nice Sorti...

The rest of us had a night chat...exceot Geai, he was watching football goals...

Joking and listening to music....in the Danlin night..

Bubba wanted to make some music...he put on a green short and an africa neckles...

People trying to be creative...by some reason Hongyu returned to samulavan...they went to bed on the floor inside...and planned to return in sunlight...

Wehn returning to samulavan the sourthern boys were spread out on the floor

Some hours later I woke up...a new sunny day in danlin

I got some bun from vuvu

And some nice salty porrige

We headed to a nearby cafe

Where we had to take our shoes off, to enter

They had plenty of stuff on their menu

Same place as were visited last time...

I wanted a nutella coffee...but later on asked for their recommendation...

It meant a milk coffee...

I was also introduced to some neckalce...maybe they wanted to sell it to me...

They were making alot of handcraft...

We later on went to Chaozhou downtown

Bubba wanted to buy some eye drops

Many pleces were closed...we had to walk for a while

Eventually he found what he was looking for

Omg...I anted to buy land on the east coast...here they annouced places in chaozhou city...(its more south than east)...

Also i found cars that looked like orchid island cars...meaning not registration sign

We also passsed by a local Donutes store...

They also have one of these in Hsinchu, i remember I went to one with my friend Anders, back in the days...

No burger, no cards, no bag, no sleeping, no flag on a pole..and no books...

I had s chocolate and donut...

This is the place to be...if you are a hip chaozhou person

Later on we went to samulavan...and I opened the taro wine...

We had it with tried taro

I also got a banana

And after a while we got a whole meal

We anaged to finish half the bottel...after adding lemon to it...

We went to chaozhou station...I found that bubba had 2 caps...one for wearing and one extra...

I also observed two toilet igns in the train...strange...only one of them are the real toilet...

It was made in taiwan...and I saw it in ximen

Acardia Taiwan 2016

I went to a music festival some days ago

Acardia Taiwan...

The DJ lineup was with the most famous at the end....except vicetone

I arrived at 18 something

It was thus already dark...

I met up with some people...and saw my old friend Mike...he likes to walk around without shirt...

The rain made the laser look more cool

They also had fire...which was nice...since I chose not to wear any rain poncho...

The DJs were mixed between locals and international

After some hours nicky Romeo entered the stage...he playve more uplifting house than the others...even though Andrew Rayel was ok...

They also had people on the top of the spides spraying smoke on the audience...

Suddenly a chinese voice said someting in Nicky Romeos act...and that was the the show was over...it was the first time I heard this sudden finish of a festival in taiwan...

Some people were screaming that Nicky should continue..but I guess this is the acardia rules...

A trip to Danlin

I went to Danlin this weekend

First I had a dinner with some tipaei friends...they ended up 1 hour late...

I went by train partly to danlan...and found that the femal waiting zone was much smaller than the "not femal waiting zone"...interesting logic...

I met up with Geai, who played some games on his phone...

We wanted to go by scooter to danlin from chaozhou...but some cars blocked the road...we had to pick another path...

We went to a breakfast place in Laiyi...

It was alot of rain...

Geais brothers showed me a burrito I left there last time...it was waiting for me...

We later on headed to Laiyi downtown...for some sports event

I was wearing a pink poncho...people here prefer using umbrellas when not on scooters...not sure why...

Different villages were competing...it was slippery on the ground...and it reminded me of my barefoot marathon in Jiayi...when it was a typhoon at the same time...

We also passed by the archery session

And some other running games...

Many people taking pics...

This is the way to run fast today; spikes.....

Some villages were more prepared than others...

These were the fighters of Danlin...

They even had a shirt saying Danlin...

After some hours we could spot the sun above the clouds...we also went back to Chaozhou to pick up our firned Bubba...and got the key from Geais grandma to her car...

In chaozhou we went to 7-11 to buy supplies...

Many things...more burritos...wine and juice...

Omg...when we returned to Laiyi, we were told that we accidentally took someother persons car...and that the key just by cioncidence work on that car...we couldnt find any owner...but left it at the same spot where we took it...

I think it was about there we left it...

Strange that the key works for both...maybe a practical think in a village where you know everyone...to have a master key...

We went back to danlin..and I had some local food...(or bought some local food at a nearby restaurant)...

We also got treated some snails...

And then chillin around...while the rain was pouring outside...

We had some wine, and saw locals passing by

Some nice nearby people gave us an old wine from 2005...not sure if it was suppose to be saved for that long...the flavour was rather bitter...

Later we went to samulavan...doing the same thing, but added some drinking game into it...

After another hour we went to pinapple...which is a KTV bar nearby danlin...

In taiwan people love Karaoke...

We managed to finish the vodka bottle...luckily no other people brought more vodka...

More people joined up as the night went on...

And funny people joined in...the pinaple KTV has many rooms...so its easy to mingle around...

Usually its famous taiwanese songs that are sanged...

We later on went to get some food

And chillin another KTV room

Waiting for the beef noodles to be done

Bubba was inspecting the cooking process

Some people ahd to work the day after...so they wer heading home...

Not sure where...but Bubba found a tooth brush...

And the singing coninued...

At the end the table was pretty full...

After a while the KTV faded out...and people went to the local 7-11

looking for things to eat

Maybe bubba wanted something italian...

The 7-11 gay was Amis...pretty interesting

The people who were suppose to leave early...still hanged with us

Bubba was up to something...and a local cat tried to sneak in to the house...which seems to be "anmial free"...

Omg...bubba went for a night run around the city...

He went out 3 times...and met local people and animals..

They day after I had to leave to taipei...it was still a littlebit raining...

Vuvu was awake...since the night before..fixing things in the house

the guys were still sleeping

Local breakfast...noodles and bread...

The guys joined me to the acitvity center of danlin...waiting for a cab to help me to chaozhou train station

They were looking at the bridge...since most traffic to danlin comes from this bridge

It turned out that the cab was white...maybe an uber...

I made a quick check passing Laiyis school...and found that the owner of the car we used to pick up bubba was gone...

A BBQ visit in ximen

I went to a BBQ recently

It was an old store but at a new location

Many AC displays

And some icecream...not the russian one though

But the flavours were still good

I had some kimchi and onion....

They also had cheese and hamburger meat...

...nowadays they were more resturcted with the beer...which was good...I needed to show an empty bottle before getting a new one...

Some evening event in Taipei

I went to some places in taipei recently

I had a croque monsieur at Taiwan university

The staff didnt accept 20nt...not sure why...probably uneducation...luckily they accepted 100nt and 200nt...

I also passed by a ximen with the red political party demonstrating...its not that popular here...I wonder if nowray demonstrated, and wants taiwan to be a part of norway...what the public opinion would be...

I also met up with Dion...and caught a funny person on pic...

I went for a normal lichi drink

...including some fried things platter

I finished the stay with some comics analysis

Anders is going for a ride

My friend Anders is going for a ride

He has been moving back and forth from taiwan and sweden for a while...

We use to work at the Chalmers office at NCTU 2008

He plans to leave taiwan, and cruise around south east asia for 3 month on a motorcycle

He starts his trip by driving scooter in Taoyuan...

Taipei Health IoT Hackathon (Part II)

Late saturday night...the hackathon in Taipei continues

Most participants are chinese speakers

Some class with speakers from international universities

The snack desk

Milo playing his ukulele

Some partly eaten snacks

And milo asking questions about health IoT

Most people seems to be students

I got some certificate for my participation

In the early sunday morning Milo is done with his part...mostly usung java script to simulate a database

Some neighbours takeing a nap

Lets see how this goes...we have 6 minutes to present...most Tais has super many slides...I know from my NCTU GMBA that in taiwan "time limit" is most often a recommendation, one TA i had who said "20 minutes per presentataion" presented for 2 horus and 20 minutes once...stressful and disrespectful for the others who had to skip their lunch...but its a culture thing i guess...

Some teams also presented posters...

Some judy members looked interested...but i deared that this would b a taiwan style competition (most slides and pictures that look "professional" will win)
