Lucia event with svenska kyrkan och Swedish chamber or commerce
I went to a lucia event recently held together with svenska kyrkan
It was in tianmu in northern taipei
The priest was very funny
Carl was also there and henrik...
And after a while the lucia tåg appeared....
Mostly expats kids...
Later we had some snacks...
later on we went to an indian resturant...
With different colours of curry
I also had a beer at a nearby place...
They also had pics of taiwanese maountains...
I also looked for a geocach in taipei downtown...
Charity event end BBQ with coworkers
I joined up a charity event some week ago...
All I had to do is to speak english...
Later I joined a BB event...in Taoyuan...later on i headed back to taipei again...
A birthday party for Queenie
Me and some coworker gathered in zhongixiao fuxing recenty...
Anders and jens joined up...pretty rare...
Pretty spicky...kimchi...
Sean likes to eat alot...
We ended the night with a miango slized ice...
Saisiyat midget event (Day 3)
Waking up in miaoli, many people were still sleeping...
Some few people were still eating breakfast and sipping beer...
A fog over the area...pretty cool...
Most villages that has aboriginal tribes has these cool paintings...
...there are rougtly 5000-6000 saisiyat people left according to wikipedia...so these paintings should be more rare...
Me and some interns took the shuttle bus down to the car parking lot...
Some info about the event was taped on the shuttle bus...
Leaving the event area...
They also had some information about the local name of this place..."sky facing lake"...
...i didnt see the lake though...
Maybe next time...i will see it...
The bus also had grass...for protective reasons...
...still very foggy...
Once at the parking lot...our car was gone...
After some while our intern friend came with the car and we could head north...
We stoped at a local coffee store...which also made wood...
The owner was CNC expert...he even new my coworker...
I might do sculptures like this in some time...
Later I got my coffee...
The whole meal...
I was still wearing my saisiyat west...after a while we passed by a atayal place...with similar clothes...
And bandanas...
And ribbons...
The interns were impressed byt the view..
Omg...after a while we came to Lala shan, where I found this scooter...parked pretty long...
...it was fre entrnce to lala shan...
many people were heading u on the hiking trail...
And many old trees...
the intenrs were taking photos...of the tree...i took photoes of the interns...
Just like in other parks in taiwan they have plenty of old trees...

...we were pretty high..maybe over 2000 meters...
After a while one of the interns wanted to go for some extra route...I oined up...
It was a 30 minutes extra route to see 20 old trees...(but with some shortcuts)...
High altitude road...the road trip finished here...it was a fun trip...
Saisiyat midget event (Day 2)
I woke up on a mountain, on the road to one of my old favorite moutnain "daba jian shan".
I helped some neighbour with garden work of some kind...
We also got some loca breakfast
And mingled more with the local family
I later proposed to visit a local coffee place...
I also had some pizza bun...or something
a rainy day at alice coffee place...i went here some monthes ago...
omg...fortunate coffee...sounds good...
Next stop some budda statue...
The water was very good....
This coffee store was also interesting...and wished us mutual sucess...
they even decorated the coffee...
I had some taiwanese coffee from Alishan...
We also had time to stop the car shortly to take a pic of the buddhe statue...
Many places says they have the "biggest buddha statue in the world"...
The interns also took pics...
Many times, at different places in asia i hear "this is the worlds largest buddha"...i also heard this for this statue...

Later we tried to get back to the hisnchu party, but hte road bas blocked...and we had to park the car and take shuttle bus...
wierdly enough this shuttle bus took us to the miaoli event, and not back to the hsinchu event...

After 20 minutes drive...we reached the point for the ceremony...

We also mingelled around here...and bought some traditional clothes...
Omg...even the scooters had grass around it to protect from the midget spirits...
I also got some new grass on my arm...
Many locals with traditional dresses...
And later on the cereony also was abut to start...
I had my west on...
After a while people started to dance...
And many people were wearing traditional clothes...
There were also people from each family who were carrying some backpack with chains that made noise when they shaked their but...to keep the phase with the dancing...
Many people joined up here in miaoli...
Red and white seems to be the colour of this tribe...
And tha traditional sun logo...
People wer dancing for several days here...
After a whiile we were invited by a local guy..he treated us local food...
His english was also rather good...
They also had people there keeping the fire alive...
People were sleeping in tents everywhere...
I later on had a beer...
People kept dancing...
There was some fight at the night market...and the ambulance needed to help 2 guys...

Saiziyat midget event (Day 1
I went to a midget event some time ago
There were 2 events...one was at road 122 in hsinchu...
We arrived some day early..but still enjoyed the local stuff...
Some friends joined up...
The even was held at this place...close to hsinchu...

It is usually a 10 days event but open for the public for 2-3 days...
Visitors are asked to wear grass, to sgare some pygmee spirits away
We had to buy some grass
and tie it on our arm..
We also drank xiaomijiu...typical aboriginal drink
the locals were practicing some dance...
This cute guy was funny...the eldest son was expected to prepare the preparations by their attendence...
We later minglelled around along the stores, to see if they ahd any aboriginal food...

People here were very nice...

Beer event and drag show night
I joined a beer even recently...it was rather expensive...500ntd, just to enter, but we had to pay for he beer inside...
When we left we got 2 bottles...but still...
I bought some beer badges...which cold be traded to beer...

I had some random american beers...
I also met some people who were at last weeks hash run...
We also got some free trials of beer...
and i had some toast with chips..
...omg swedish cans...strange...

we were also asked to tae pics..with mustasch...

Later we went to a drag show with aboriginal participants...
Many people were there...
And some atayal, amis, paiwan and bunun were representing...

Sweden day in taipei 2018
There was a sweden day in taipei 2018 recently...
Many suited people showed up...
It was the third year I was there...and the same people from the swedish chamber of commerce was there...as well as people from business sweden
I also got introduced to some whisky I never heard about before...
Some young professionals headed to ximen red building afterwards...
A hashrun at the east coast 2018
I joined a hashrun some week ago
It was at the eastt coast...
Seeing the east cast is nice...pretty calm...
I was wearing my gothenburg hash run harrier shirt...
I didnt take any pics alog the trail...but after some hour I finished 9km....and I wasa ready to drink beer...
More and more people joined in...
Also chips...was served...
People wer taing care of ther previous parts...and many people also showered before the hash run ceremony...Iguess cus the late commers were very late...it durned dar before some of my friends showed up...
We also stopped by a local restaurant...
My colleague Sarah was cuddling...
I also passed by some place here they reomcmended places to visit in taiwan

Another birthday bash event 2018
I went to ximen some days ago...
Andhad a nice milk tea at G2 paradise...
And anohter one later on...
Some hours later I did elephant mountian 2 times...took a quick shower and then headed to Neihu for some kebab...near miramar...
It was some small wrap with yohurt...
I also got some Brandy from a friend.....pretty nice...
I later also had some potato and cheese wrap...
My coworkers had prepared some cake...
I made some fair slizes...
We headed to le ble dor after that...
I also saw some nice log carving I might bench mark some day...
Next stop was a burgerbar in Nanjing fuxing...
It was said to be good...
I had their biggest burger...
It wasnt that big...but still ok...mainly flavours of mayonaise...I might come back some day for a take away...
2018 birthday bash
I had some minor birthday bash with random friends in nankan some weeks ago...
At a local beer bar...
1 liter,...i know the guy who has the brewery...its fun with local stuff..
We played some music and talked for a while...
Later on I also joined some other friends to brass monkey in taipei...some other friend was said to have a birthday event there...
I was wearing a tie...just like the other birthdays i had recently in tajpan...
A useless 1 day trip to Kaohsiung
I went on a 1 day trip to Kaohsiung recently
A company paid...if we could waste 4000ntd on a trip per person and show receipt
Taking high speed rail for 1480ntd south...after lunch...headin g to eat lunch...
Some exciting interns...looking for a resturant in kaohsung during the trip south...we found luckily something that was more than 800ntd per person...
We arrived at 14.40 to Kaohsung and found the resturant rather quickly...
They had alot of nice food....

Taipei pride 2018 and a birthday dinner
My friends mom had a birthday recently...
I had a hambburger at ak12 the night before as a warm up
And a french toast at a ressturant near SYS memorial hall at the birtday day...
I also had some chocolate drink from starbucks afterwards...
Omg, i also saw some intersting book in a local book store...not sure if its good but it had an interesting title...
I also saw this book, I loke this guys nike commercial...about his "system"...
Later on the same day we went to se the 2018 pride parade...
Plenty of people, it was extra poitical this year due to some national
election about equality...
I was there with Cind and Will...
Later on I met up with Boju and other locals...
The day ended with some drinking at the red house in ximen...

i passed by a pizzeria in yonghe recently
It has been pen for some timme already...
They had hawaii...around 300nt for a small one...
It was an ok one...
I had it with some yiland beer...it was nice...

I jined the swedish chamber of commerce young professionals yesterday

We also got to try beer...

and later we could buy beer, and got a glass...
later on I joined some intern to shilin night market...
We also went to a colombian restaurant...
And had alot of dishes...
I had a colombian hamburger again...
It seems like there are alot of illegal endors in shilin...many times I heard people reporting "the police is comming" and all street vendors on the middle of the street dispeared in to the alleys...very entertaining..but strange logic, they just pushed people away in their desperacy...

A quick visit to Waiao and jiaoxi
I went to waiao and jiaoxi recently..a day trip...
I saw some interns there..
We later on ent to jiaoxi for some beer...
They had alot of saxophone players there...it was a nice concert...

I went to ikea som time ago and bought swedish beer...
Pripps blå is one of the original tastes when it come to beer, in my opinion...
I also passed by an all u can eat..for alot of burger meat and cheese...
Late night out n Taipei
I got really long hair...
It easier to experiement with looks abora,d especialy in aisa,, since people judged u based on ur look, already due to ur race...(in my experience)
Later i went to ximen...
It was clsoe to some ntional day in taiwan..they closed half the city in the souther side...strange police, i had a tendency to igone people..maybe some chiense culture...i heard long time ago that police has a culture of being "uber mensen", superiors...
I also went to a studie and got a skin fade...second time i went to the barbre shop...but they didnnt charge me, since they wanted to take pictures of my hardo...a gray yellow blue steel...
I also had some late night snack in jingan-yongan...
