Hult Challenge final

In the morning, on our way to the business school, i saw an chinese NCTU logo...so interesting...
Alot of people were already there...and they offered some kind of breakfast...even though I went up extra early to eat breakfast at the hotel as well (I only slept 3 hours last night).
We got our private room to work at...
We had class in the morning as well, and we adapted our plan to what we learned...
We had a "special weapon" which would lead us to success...
More class...not so much focus on housing, but more a gneral presentaion about how housing, energy and education are connected...
In china, people are not that taiwan friendly...even though I met many people who came from Taiwan who worked in shanghai with business related things...
On this map that was showed to us, taiwan was not listed..but neither was Bhutan, brunei, samoa etc...hard to be objective...
There were 3 people presenting...al. were intersting characters...this is the "energy guy"
We continued to work, with our solution...using happiness ad harmony...it was a great team...
We also promoted our university...with the flag...many people stopped and talked to us, especially people who had some kind of connection to taiwan...
At lunch time, Ashley, our indian "ambassador" gave us lunch...he gave us refill afterwards...I ate alot of them...
It was tastysallad wraps...so nice...
Ashley also helped us with providing information...abot the schedule and other practical things...
We had 12 minutes to present our solution...and we were asked not to be to many people presenting...these 2 guys were the ones carrying out the job...
We were asked not to check up on other groups, when they presented...however it seemed like the other groups all were spying on the groups presenting to the judges...
Many people were nervous...as the 2,5 hours of presentation time went on...
And many groups were using advanced presentations...however it was hard to understand their english sometimes...
The presentation for our team went fine, but as usual in asia, people like nice presentaion not nice facts... The Hult competition was a copy of Venture cup in Scandinavia, not sure why it is so popular...just some free food and a presentation...
It was served cookies and coffee all the time...I was sipping every no and then, resulting in that I was high on caffein...
After the presentation we were directed to a bus taking us to the finals...we were sent to the wrong bus first...where we were the only ones...
But later we came to the right one...and headed to the next destination...
Nice landmarks...high buildings...a sign of super capitalism in the communist state...Inconsistency?!?!
Hult Global Case challange, from Hult business school, names after the Swedish billionaire Bertil Hult...
People were filling up the room slowly...
The toilets at this place were interesting...ther was a hole where people who were peeing could watch people who were washing their hands...in the room beside...
New thinking...then u can pee until u know there is a sink available...
Mingeling outside of the building...just before the show starts...
A canadian girl who was studing at Hult´´s were hosting...
A guy from Taizhong, Taiwan was the Managaing director of Hult´s school in Shanghai...
One of the teams in the final, had a similar idea that I had, using solar cells to save money for other purposes...
It was kind of boring listening to super many ideas...people started to fall asleep...
Here are the winners of the asian round...
Here is the food...
Here is a team member, taking picture of another team...
They serverd a variety of wines...(Jacobs creek, australia), and chinese beer...

This is the team who stay for the dinner...

I started with the dessert...as usual...
We went by bus from the dinner to the after party...

The guys who dared to stay the whoe dinner are heading back to the hotel... (eventually only me and my friend henry walked the whole line and went clubbing afterwards)
The temp in shanghai is near 0, like 1 or 2, during the day I have been looking for a time to go shopping postcards, but so far we have been busy all the time... however it is fun to talk to other students in asia...i met some taiwanese people here, it is interesting how it works...everyone is licking chinas arse...they have the money, they have the power... but behind the scenes, everyone talks about Taiwan as it was a country....
My classmate ordered alot of books to the hotel in Shanghai, to save money...perhaps she will resell them in taiwan...
Maybe the name of the club, said to be "up class"...but seemed kind of crappy...alot of russians and new rich people showing off...
Now it is time for the after party...
Shanghai my night...
